Frequently Asked Questions

What is TripSafe?
TripSafe is a comprehensive travel assistance package that covers a wide range of potential problems you might face during a trip. It includes assistance services like emergency cash, travel alerts, passport and luggage lost assistance and a 24/7 hotline for any travel emergency. It also includes covers like trip cancellations, medical emergencies, lost luggage, travel delays, and more. It’s designed to give you peace of mind by protecting you against various unexpected events that could disrupt your travel plans.
Who has TripSafe partnered with?

TripSafe is proud to have partnered with some of the most reputed Indian and international companies when it comes to insurance and assistance.

Assistance: Our Global Assistance Partner is Across Assist. With a global network and 24/7 availability, the Across Assist team is equipped to help our customers navigate any emergency faced abroad.

Insurance: For our comprehensive international travel insurance, we have tied up with Aditya Birla Health Insurance (ABHI). ABHI is one of India’s pre-eminent health insurance companies offering a suite of health and travel insurance products with a distribution network in over 5000 cities through partner and branch offices. ABHI is part of Aditya Birla Capital, the holding company for the financial services businesses of the $65 billion Aditya Birla Group. Learn more about ABHI at https://www.adityabirlacapital.com/healthinsurance/homepage

Cyber education: Cyber crime is increasingly becoming a major threat, especially for travellers abroad. We have partnered with Canada-based Boxx Insurance, a leader in cyber security, to provide tools and content to help our travellers stay ahead of cyber insurance threats.

We will be continually adding additional value added services to our TripSafe Assistance package.

What is the difference between Assistance and Insurance?

Insurance provides financial coverage against losses that the traveller may incur for various unexpected eventualities. So, for example if travellers have an unexpected medical emergency abroad, or lose bags, or face theft of passport – they will receive a financial payout for such events, subject to the relevant terms and conditions.

Assistance offers a 24 x 7 helpline to help travellers navigate any difficulties they face abroad. So, if you need a doctor, or guidance to the nearest embassy or police station, or have a roadside emergency – you can call the helpline, and they will guide you. There is no financial payout however and you will be responsible for paying the costs of any services that you avail of.
